Overview:

The Village of Berrien Springs is seeking a Treasurer to manage the collection and accounting of all tax billings and collections. This position works under the direction of the Village Council and President, following established Village policies and procedures.

Applications and job descriptions are available at the Berrien Springs Village Hall at 112 N. Cass St., Berrien Springs, MI from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The Village is accepting applications, resumes, and letters of interest for this opening. Deadline: Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at noon.

Preliminary Historical District Study Report

The Historic District Study Committee held a public hearing to hear public comments on the preliminary Historic District Study Report on Monday, December 15, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. before the Regular Council Meeting.

This report has been prepared as part of the village’s ongoing efforts to preserve and recognize the unique architectural and cultural heritage of our community.

On July 5, 2024, Berrien County filed its Notice of Intent to prepare the Materials Management Plan (MMP) and has become the County Approval Agency as required per Part 115, Solid Waste Management, of the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act,1994 PA 451, as amended. The MMP will be a multi-county plan among Berrien, Cass, and Van Buren Counties. Information about the MMP Planning Committee, along with committee meeting notices, will be posted at www.swmpc.org/materials_mngt.asp. MMP Committee Meetings are open to the public.
