Race to the Ribbon Cutting

We are in the final push to bring Wolf’s Prairie Playground to life!

Reaching our fundraising goal is critical to ensure the playground can open by June 26, marking the completion of this long-awaited community project.

If we reach our community fundraising goal of $75,000, the Village will also receive a matching $75,000 grant from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC)—doubling the impact of every local dollar raised! Help us turn children’s dreams into a playground reality!

Planned Playground Features

  • Swings and zipline

  • 14-foot tower slide with Lake Chapin view

  • Hand-sculpted kayak and camping area

  • Inclusive play elements for children of all abilities

Unique, First-in-the-State Playground Features

Wolf’s Prairie Playground will include the first custom hand-sculpted play equipment of its kind in the State of Michigan, making this a truly one-of-a-kind destination playground.

No other playground in the state will feature these immersive, nature-inspired elements, including:

  • A hand-sculpted kayak play structure
  • A camping-inspired tent feature
  • A fire four-wheeler play element

These custom pieces were carefully selected and designed to reflect the unique setting of the park and playground, overlooking the majestic Lake Chapin, and to serve as a nod to Shamrock Park and the surrounding Lake Chapin area. This hand-sculpted collection of equipment is rooted in the history, character, and natural beauty of Berrien Springs, honoring what makes our community so special.
