Wolf’s Prairie Playground: A New Era at Grove Park

A New Playground is Coming!
After more than 20 years of memories at Wolf’s Prairie Playground, the Village of Berrien Springs is excited to bring a fresh, inclusive, Pure Michigan Adventure–themed playground to Grove Park. Construction is expected by June, and the new design was inspired by children’s drawings from our September event.

Help Bring the Vision to Life
The project costs over $860,000. The Village Council has approved $600,000, and the remaining funds will be raised through grants, community fundraising, and sponsorship opportunities. Everyone can play a part in creating this space for generations to come.

“Drawn to Play” Fundraiser
We invite the children who submitted artwork in September to join the “Drawn to Play” fundraiser, where their art will be showcased just like a real art show. No art show is complete without the artists themselves! Fundraiser details are still being coordinated and will be shared at the next committee meeting, February 18 at 5:00 p.m.

Planned Playground Features

  • Swings and zipline

  • 14-foot tower slide with Lake Chapin view

  • Hand-sculpted kayak and camping area

  • Inclusive play elements for children of all abilities
